🌸 🌾Pink Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris) - A Symphony of Color in Every Breeze!

Step into a fairytale garden with our Pink Muhly Grass! Originating from Florida's natural landscapes, this mesmerizing grass is not your average ornamental. As it matures, watch as a brilliant shade of pink sweeps across its delicate plumes, turning every garden corner into a vibrant spectacle.

Muhly Grass At A Glance 🌟

  • Shipped In: A nurturing 1-gallon pot.
  • Mature Height: A modest 2-3 ft, making it perfect for varied landscapes.
  • Lighting Needs: Loves bathing in full sun, but is considerate enough to tolerate some partial shade.
  • Soil Requirements: Versatile! It’s content with most soils, as long as they’re well-drained.
  • Hardiness Zones: From 6 to 10, this resilient beauty feels at home.

The Muhly Magic: Story & Origins 📜

Born and bred in Florida, Muhly Grass boasts delicate inflorescences that dance gracefully above its dark green gown of foliage. For generations, this grass has been a symbol of the wild, free-spirited nature of the Floridian landscapes. Native Americans once believed that the breezy whispers of the Muhly Grass were messages from nature, guiding their journeys and decisions.

Aesthetic & Landscaping Charm 🏡

With its slender leaves, and the ethereal pink to purple mist-like flowers in fall, this ornamental grass is the dream addition to any landscape. Whether it’s setting the scene for a tranquil garden or serving as a lively backdrop for your other plants, Pink Muhly Grass never disappoints.

More Than Just Beauty: The Eco-friendly Superplant! 🌍

Not just a pretty face, Muhly Grass is a genuine garden superhero. By cutting it back two to three times a year and using it as mulch, you can:

  • Provide high carbon and silica nourishment.
  • Retain soil moisture.
  • Foster a healthy mycelial environment.

It’s the ultimate chop and drop companion! Layer it with nitrogen-fixing plants like Mexican Sunflower or Pigeon Pea, and witness the organic magic unfold.

Transplanting & Care 101 🌱

  1. Choosing the Spot: Muhly Grass isn’t too picky, but a sunny spot with well-draining soil is its sweet spot.
  2. Transplanting: Dig a hole twice the size of its pot. Ensure you don’t plant too deep! The root ball should be level with the ground.
  3. Packing the Soil: Pack soil gently but firmly around the plant, eliminating air pockets.
  4. Watering: Initial deep watering is key. Then, it’s all smooth sailing with minimal care!

Who's It For? 🤔

  • Eco-conscious Gardeners: Looking for a mulching superstar? Here it is!
  • Landscaping Enthusiasts: This ornamental wonder is a must-have.
  • Those Seeking Low Maintenance: Little care, lots of rewards.

1. Shipping Stress: Transportation can be stressful for plants, particularly when they spend several days in a confined, dark environment. It’s common for plants to experience leaf drop during this period. Rest assured, most plants typically recover quickly and thrive with minimal aftercare. However, some may need extra attention, love, and care, requiring appropriate watering and exposure to gentle light post-unboxing.

2. Potential Physical Damage: Despite our dedicated efforts to ensure that your plants are securely packaged, they may incur damage during shipping and handling by UPS. Rest assured, our shipping team is committed to packing your selections with utmost care and precision to minimize any potential harm.

  • For significant box damage, please reach out to UPS within 30 days to initiate a claim.

  • For minor damages, such as a broken branch or stem, we advise allowing the plant time to recover and regenerate with proper care and attention.

3. Long-Distance Shipping Considerations: Orders shipped over long distances, particularly to the western US, may take 3 - 5 business days to arrive due to various factors, including agricultural inspections in Arizona, California, and Texas. Such extended transit times can be particularly challenging for tender, young plants, affecting their quality due to prolonged confinement.

  • We take additional measures during packaging to facilitate a swift recovery of the plants upon unboxing.

  • Initial extra care and attention might be required over the first few weeks post-transport.

For further guidance, kindly review our detailed policies on returns and refunds, as well as our comprehensive plant care guide. We appreciate your understanding and patience in nurturing your new plants.
