Transform Your Indoor or Outdoor Space with the Aromatic Allspice Tree! 🌿

Discover the Rich Legacy of Pimenta dioica:

Step into the scented world of the Allspice tree, a botanical marvel deeply rooted in Central American history. Once so prized it served as currency[^1^], today it’s your passport to a fragrant and visually stunning home or garden.

Now shipping in a spacious 3-gallon container.

Why Every Plant Lover Needs an Allspice Tree:

  1. A Symphony of Scents: Imagine having the aroma of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper wafting through your space, all from the leaves of a single tree.
  2. Aesthetic Allure: Its evergreen leaves and beautiful structure make it a conversation-starter, whether indoors or outdoors.
  3. Multi-Zone Versatility: Thrives as an ornamental beauty in zones 9+ and offers fruitful bounty in zones 11 and up.

Planting & Care Guide:

  • Mature Height: Graciously extends up to 30 ft.
  • Light Preferences: Loves full sun to partial shade, making it ideal for a sunny indoor spot too.
  • Soil: Prefers loose, well-draining soil.
  • Hardiness: Ornamental in zones 9+; Fruiting best in zones 11-12.
Planting Tip: Indoors, place it near a sunny window and water consistently. Outdoors, select a sunny yet partially shaded location, particularly for those sultry afternoons.

From Tree to Home:

After a 3-6 month growth period post-pollination, zones 11+ will see fruit. But don't underestimate the aromatic power of the leaves! Whether dried or fresh, they serve as an extraordinary culinary additive, similar to bay leaves[^2^]. And if you're in zones 9+, you may not get the fruit, but the allure and aromatic pleasure are second to none.

Shipping Stress - Transport can cause stress to plants, especially if spending a few days in a dark stuffy box. Leaf drop may occur.  Most plants survive with no problems or with minimal stress and recover quickly others may require extra love and attention with watering and gentle light after unboxing.

Physical damage - Occasionally, boxes become damaged during UPS handling & transport. Our shipping team takes all measures in securely packing your selection/s to minimize all damage and stress on the plant.  We've had great feedback on packing your plants with extra special attention. Unfortunately, it's past our control beyond our packing house.
In cases of serious box damage, please contact UPS within 30 days to start a claim.
If it's just a broken branch or even part of a stem - just let it grow, take care of your plant and it will respond to your love.

Shipping Long Distances -  Orders that are shipped to the western US can often take 4 to 6 business days for transport, including the delay of agricultural inspections in Arizona, California & Texas. Please note that the quality of tender young plants is more affected by the extra length of stress inside shipping boxes. Extra care is taken during packaging to ensure quick recovery after unboxing.  Often plants need extra care for the first few weeks after transport.  Please review our policy on returns & refunds for more information, as well as our plant care guide.
