Grumichama (Eugenia brasiliensis) - Live Plant

Ships in a 1G Pot

Often planted ornamentally, the Grumichama is a large bushy evergreen with glossy leaves and white flowers that when pruned will form a tight hedge. The small fruit is similar to a cherry in size with a thin dark skin and soft, juicy, sweet, flesh. Fruit development, in late Spring, is fast and fruit will drop quickly after ripening. The tree is from sub-tropical areas of Brazil, but is reported to survive temperatures of 26 degrees F and produces more fruit if the winter is a little chilly. The fruit keeps well frozen.Ships in a 4" Pot

-Stress- Shipping can cause stress to a plant, mostly because it spends a few days in a dark stuffy box. Most plants survive with no problems or with a minimal stress (some leaf drop may occur), and recover quickly others may require extra love and attention with watering and gentle light after unboxing. Please refer to the Care Sheet inside your order- upon unboxing.
-Physical damage- Sometimes a carrier may damage boxes during handling or they are damaged due to weather, If this is the case please Contact UPS customer service right away to start an insurance claim and then email nursery@greendreamsfl.com with your claim number.
It does not happen often as we try to pack your plants with extra special attention but unfortunately there are some things beyond our control. In cases of serious damage, only the carrier can be responsible for it- so please contact the carrier within 30 days to start a claim. If it's just a broken branch or even part of a stem - just let it grow, take care of your plant and it will respond to your love. We understand your frustration if damage occurs, and strive to do everything we can on our end to minimize all damage and stress on the plant.
